How to Create a Custom Field for a Contact

Custom fields can be created to help further specify prospect data being captured. The process of doing this is found within the following steps:

Step 1:  Access Enquire MAP then click Administration then Account Settings then mceclip5.png


Step 2:  A new window Custom Field Type appears and requires the following criteria to be filled in:


  1. Name - name of the field (i.e.: Has inquiry, Has Deposit, Market Source)
  2. Group name - name of the group (i.e.: EnquireCRM, EnquireMarketing)
  3. Data type (See below to depict typical drop-down menu)mceclip2.png
  4. Asset (See below to depict typical drop-down menu)mceclip3.png
  5. Options (1 per line) (i.e.: Location = list of locations if multiple sites)
  6. Default value (typically blank)
  7. Has Dynamic Options Needs to be Checked
  8. Save 

Please note: Only admins are allowed to complete the setup, and the most custom fields are cloned over with each new account upon setup.
