Getting Started with Personal URLs (PURLS) In Enquire MAP
Enquire MAP tracks all links created in email campaigns etc. If the sales team sends an email to a prospect for the first time, the person may have been anonymously visiting the Company website. If the email recipient clicks a link in the email that routes the person to the Company website, Enquire MAP will automatically merge the anonymous visitor with the new known email recipient and this email recipient will effectively have their anonymity removed. This is an outstanding feature of Enquire MAP! If the User has not used the Email Broker, please reach out MAP Support for more information on Email Broker to use as an easy way to track (and remove) a new prospect's anonymity
The issue with all tracked email solutions, some email recipient servers are aware of this activity and will silently route the incoming emails into the promotion category or worse, block the email itself. As a quick and easy solution, create a Personal URL (PURL) for a contact and if clicked by a person, assumes the intended person solely clicked the link. If we can get the specific person to click the PURL, it kills that person's anonymity. As the PURL is encoded to the person, Enquire MAP will merge the and link the person with any anonymous data collected up to (and now after) the link is clicked. If the decision is made to find out if someone is visiting the Company website ... give them a PURL!
How do we do this?
- Browse to the intended contact in Enquire MAP. Click the big 'BUILD PURL' button on the contact screen
- Share the shortened link with this visitor over email/SMS/business card or similar as it is a fully tracked link tied to this person!
Please Note: All PURLs are tracked and reported on the contact screen:
