How to Set Up WooCommerce Marketing Automation for with Enquire MAP


WooCommerce is an open-source eCommerce plugin for WordPress. It is designed for small to large-sized online merchants using WordPress. Launched on September 27, 2011, the plugin quickly became popular for its simplicity to install and customize and free base product. The Enquire MAP WordPress plugin will automatically detect if WooCommerce is installed and will automatically present the WooCommerce functionality. Specifically:

  • Post to an Enquire MAP Virtual Web Form on Order State Change
  • Post to an Enquire MAP Virtual Web Form on cart abandonment

Note: If upgrading from the Enquire MAP plugin <= Version 1.71 to Version 2.xx, the User will need to remap the automation forms in the plugin. As well, the new plugin adds the virtual form submit on the checkout page, so the User will need to remove the  virtual form submit script if one is there already


In the Enquire MAP WordPress plugin editor, a WooCommerce tab will appear if WooCommerce is installed. There are two tabs:

  • Automation
  • Cart Recovery


Above, see the different order states a purchase goes through on WooCommerce:

  • Order Created
  • Order Processing
  • Order Completed
  • Order Cancelled
  • Order Refunded

Whenever an Order State, or Trigger Event, begins or changes it is detected on the WP site, and the WP plugin will post to the form configured. Once the form is posted a contact is created with the information from the order state they are in. 

The User has the ability to select to post to any External Web Form created in Enquire MAP. All configured External Web Forms created in Enquire MAP will be available in the dropdown list boxes. The User selects the appropriate form for the related trigger. Click the pencil next to the form dropdown, and  it will expose the field mapping tool.


The User can use the autoresponder workflow to process the order state automation with woo commerce

Cart Recovery

Cart recovery is a callback used for tracking abandoned stale carts. If a known user (i.e. is logged in) has created a cart and added items to the cart, and leaves without buying, the User can post the data back to Enquire MAP. This will allow the User to set up a gentle reminder that the products are in stock and how wonderful their lives would be if they came back and purchased them.

By clicking the Cart Recovery Tab, the user can select the form they are are posting to, and also choose the time in which the stale cart will post data to Enquire MAP. Please Note: The User needs to create a form in Enquire MAP with the fields needed to be captured (i.e. First Name, Last Name, etc.)
